Rainy day crafting (and shopping)

I am toddler free for the day and thought to myself, "Since it is raining outside, I need to make good on some crafting."

Earlier in the week I cut some fabric to make my nephew a bag. On accident, I cut enough fabric to make two bags. Here is the end result on what they looked like.



I have no idea what I will do with the extra bag, but since the fabric was already cut I went ahead and stitched it together.

I have also been promising to make dear hunny bunny some bookmarks as I refuse to pay $4.95 for them in the book store.

I stitched this one together with some scrap fabric to find a method that would work for me. I think it turned out pretty well. Now he'll just need to go though my stash to pick out some fabrics he will like, as he does not like my gnomes. :-(



By late afternoon the rain let up and thought I would venture out to JoAnn's with my 50% coupon in hand to find something cool.

Well I found it... more fabric.



It was already on sale, 30% off and I could not use my coupon... Darn you JoAnn's!
